She is Free

(I wrote this with pretty much every girl I know in mind)

She’s the one who always sat alone,
She’s the one who got bullied.
She’s the one who everyone admired.
She’s the one leading the cool crowd
She’s the one who ‘has it all together’
She’s the one who works too hard.
She’s the awkward one,
the loud one,
the one who worries too much.
She’s the one who always believed the best in others,
but never in herself.
She’s the one who believed no one decent would ever love her,
And lowered her standards.
She’s the one, who wore her heart on her sleeve,
And so her heart broke too easily.
She’s the one who gave herself up for someone when she was but a child,
and from whom her very essence of femininity was stolen
She’s the one, who hurt others,
because at home that’s all she knew.
She’s the one who behind the door was hurting herself, when noone knew but her
This girl, she’s broken.
She’s the one He desperately wants to sit with.
She’s the one He gave himself up for,
His heart blazing with an eternal love for her.
She’s the one He put a great amount of thought into when He made her.
She’s the one He weeps over when he sees her hurting and listening to lies that only do anything other than destroy her ability to see the truth, light and love that flow from his very being.
That being the very thing He gave himself up for so that she could have.
She’s the one He sets free.
She’s the one in whom He sees past the exterior and into her heart.
She’s the one He’s smiling at.
She’s the one He looks at and says
‘check out my beauty of a princess, I’m so pleased with her’
She’s the one He loved first, and He sets a mighty high standard for his princesses.
A standard that is worth waiting for.
She’s the one who He says is worth ‘far more than rubies and pearls’
She’s the one He stretches his hand out to and welcomes in to His family and says ‘I love you, and you’re forgiven and free in my name!’
She’s the one He shows an unrelenting grace to.
She’s the one girl his heart longs to be attached to.
He is jealous
For you.
His love is furiously bright,
For you.
In his name,
you are free.
